Charter Oak – Who We Are
Charter Oak Grove is a congregation of Ár nDraíocht Féin (ADF) local to central Connecticut and south-central Massachusetts.
We follow a neo-pagan druid path that draws many aspects of its practice from the ancient cultures of Europe, the Middle East and India. We are a polytheistic religion, believing in the individuality of the ancient gods and goddesses as well as the cultures from which they came. We seek to understand ourselves and our place in the universe through scholarship and the pursuit of nine virtues commonly found in ancient Indo-European cultures: wisdom, piety, vision, courage, integrity, perseverance, hospitality, moderation and fertility. We uphold the tenets of hospitality between ourselves, the gods and the goddesses, the ancestors and the spirits of nature through both personal practice and group ritual.
We hold public rituals on each of the eight neo-pagan holidays and study groups for individuals interested in learning more about druidry throughout the year depending on interest. For a list of upcoming events, please look at our calendar page.
